Paintball @ Suria Sabah

I do think a paint ball venue in a shopping mall is a good idea.

It offer an alternative to the traditional shopping mall entertainment like bowling, movies, arcade, snooker and Karaoke. Even though the venue is relatively small, but it is convenient and something new. People in KK no longer have to travel miles and far away to deep jungle to enjoy paint ball, we can just being spontaneous, watching 3D movie and get into action ourselves the next second.

So, my siblings, our friends and I decided to play a paint ball game a week ago.

Honestly, it is a bit expensive for students like us.

The rate is RM20 for 200 re-balls (do not splash colour) bullet, 200 bullets is the minimum package. For those who can afford more, 200 colour bullets available for RM40 per person.

The Marshall gave us very strict briefing, tutorial on how to start the game and how handle the rifle. They were extremely strict on wearing all the safety gear. Don't even think for a second to open the mask, they will shout at you like it is the end of the world!!!

We have 4 rounds of game in an hour. The boys finished all their bullet, but the girl still have half of them. Very tiring and lots of fun. The rifle/gun things were very heavy. Be prepared.

Wear comfortable clothes, the colour mark is easily remove by normal washing. So. no worries.

They don't required us to wear shoes, so kaki ayam all the way if you like.

Borneo Bloggers

A friend of mine, wawa asked me to come this 3 days event with her. We got free entrance for emailing the sponsor earlier and we are quite excited about it.

The media dialogue certainly gave me so many new perspectives on blogging atmosphere not only in Sabah and Sarawak but also Brunei and Kalimantan as well. Not forgetting all the free delicious food served by the organizer.

Unfortunately, I am not very good in socializing and meeting online friend for the first time and the obligation to network with other bloggers make me nervous, I think I need to learn on how to present myself in a semi-formal social environment, be more talkative and open to others and actually speak out loud about my ideas and curiosity.

It was a blast! Looking forward towards another event in the future.

Sg. Kibunut, Penampang

M had organized this picnic to celebrate something she really wanted and she finally get it! Congratulation M, I'm proud of you. I guess I will not miss my Saga very much now.

M had invited me, her bf, her bf's sister, her cousins and her cousin's friends. We planned for a BBQ initially but due to our laziness we finally decided to bring junk food and drinks for the picnic.

owh, and the villagers charge every visitor RM1 per entrance per person. They provide picnic table, BBQ spot, toilet and changing rooms.

Look at our happy faces. It is so hard to swim in a river as the current is too strong and you might hit the rock underneath the water. So, we enjoy the water fountain instead. Shouting and showering under them. Like having a massage!

It's raining cats and dogs and we have to stop the fun because the water level was increasing rapidly. I guess the rainy season is coming. Thank god. There'll be complain about the clothes will never dry, newly washed car will have water marks etc. People will never grateful for what they have, isn't it?

Thanks M. You really are a cool roommate, for once in a day I don't need to make a decision. She planned it all and I have to thank you for making me feel my burden had gone away!

Water World

This is a reminiscence of our happy day with the white saga.

Water World situated at Taman Tun Fuad Stephens, entrance fee is RM10 per adult. They have different rate for weekdays such as student price, children price and Buy 3 Free 1 promotion.

M, L and R tried all the water slides they have, there are 4 of them but only 3 slides were allowed to use. R and L also tried the mini flying fox. Water basketball and volleyball also possible but you only allowed to bring water balloon not the real ball for everyone safety.

I noticed the tree surrounding the park were on fire recently. I hope this hot season will go away very soon.

Ocean Seafood Village

Yesterday was my bad day. Really bad day. I don't want to talk about it now. The good thing is, after that terrible accident, my aunts and uncles invited me to dinner with them at Ocean Seafood Village.

Ocean Seafood Village located next to Promenade Hotel. It had a reputation for serving expensive but mediocre food. We had no choice since it was 10.30 p.m and my cousin craving for seafood and they had to postpone their dinner because of me. Hence, Ocean Seafood Village was our only option since they are the only seafood restaurant serving until midnight in KK.

They apparently had done renovation and it looks quite exclusive. The renovation not only on it's deco but also the menu. One minute I feel like dead and another minute I am in food heaven. They used real orchid as decoration of the dishes. My aunt ordered six dishes for us:

• The Tiger Prawn is big and big prawns usually tasteless. I am not a big fan of them.
• The Kangkung is nice, the shrimp was blended with belacan.
• Yam and Mixed Vegetable is my favourite vegetable dish, I have no complains, it reminds me of happy time when I was an innocent child.
• Sweet and Sour Fish was good, I don't know what kind of fish it is but the sauce is rich and the fish is still crispy in the sauce.
• Mussels with dried chili is good, not to spicy.
• Soft Baby Crab is heaven. I feel like going to Ocean Seafood Village again for more.

It was a nice dining experience. Suitable for family gathering and tourist looking for good seafood. So, how much is the bill? RM350++ for 6 dishes, 5 adults portion. I glimpse at the bill out of curiosity, the tiger prawn is RM20 each, we ordered five of them. The rest of the dish range from Rm15-RM45.

p/s: Don't order coconut juice. It taste weird.

Old Town White Coffee

I passed Old Town White Coffee outlet in 1Borneo almost every week but I never really thought of having a drink or meal there. Then, I read quite nice review from various blogs about this coffee shop but not until L introduced it to us last few days I instantly became addicted to its Kaya and Butter Toast.

L and M drank the famous white coffee and I had Nan Yang Kopi 'o'. It was rich in flavour, good to look at and taste very Malaysian.

We went for our second visit tonight for dinner and we are confidence to order their main meals. L and me had Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, M ordered Chicken Rendang and R being adventurous to order the Javanese Noodle. The food was good but a little bit too spicy for Sabahan taste bud. We didn't have any coffee but ordered lime juice instead, very refreshing but the portion is quite small.

I would like to say, this is the best place to have your breakfast because the coffee is great and breakfast menu is fantastic and most importantly very cheap. Kaya & Butter Toast, Omega Rich Half Boiled Eggs and a cup of coffee only cost you RM3.90. However, the coffee house will be quite expensive for dinner and lunch.

If only it's not too crowded, this kopitiam will defeat Coffee Beans as my favourite hang out spot.

Car Wash for Dummy

As a novice car owner, washing a car for the first time is a nerve breaking event. If you happen to be a lazy ass and never in zillion years you will wash your own car and relying on local car wash to finish the dirty jobs, these tips will make you calmer and look like you know what you are doing and not end up making yourself look stupid:

1. Choose a car wash near to the main road. Nothing more scary than having people in and out your car in a secluded place.

2. Possibly with a restaurant or cafe next to it. Waiting for the cleaning process to finish will take about 15-30 minutes, so order a drink at the restaurant and try to look cool.

3. Bring something to read or do. Novel, newspaper, lecture notes anything will do. Y0u can also bring your laptop to play games or online. Alternatively, bring a friend, this will be good oppurtunity to catch up on gossips.

4. Don't leave small and valuable items in the car. Always beware of your MP3 players, coins, sun glasses, clothes, CDs, handphone etc. Bring them in a bag with you to the restaurant.

5. Ask for promotion. A car wash in Ranau offer one free service for every 6th visit to their place. A car wash in keningau has ladies day on wednesday, a female car owner will have discount to wash your car on wednesday.

6. Give tips if your car is extremely dirty. This will avoid any revenge plan by the car wash employee in the future. RM2 will be a good amount for a medium size car.

7. Ask your friends about the rate at your neighbourhood. The cost of car wash in Tuaran/Tamparuli area is RM10-12 for in and out cleaning.

8. Don't expect a sexy chick to wash you car to avoid disapointment. It will be underage boys with high pressure host and vacuums.

p/s: My favourite car wash at the moment is MJ car wash near Petronas petrol station after the Tamparuli roundabout. So, where is your favourite and why?

Drive Thru

After class this afternoon, Z,B and me decided to drive for 30 minutes for ice cream from Mcd in Jalan Sulaman Shell Station.



It was an impulsive decision but we had great time and made a silly decision to park at UMS parking lot to enjoy our food (we ended up buying burgers and fries too!) and people watching.

The white saga will now have a McD drive thru sticker as an addition to Roxy, College, Road Tax and gigantic P stickers at the front mirror.
